Whether you are a new Twitch streamer or an established creator, Achievements are designed to help you grow, set goals, and provide transparency into Partnership and Affiliate progress.

Getting Started with Achievements

To get started, head to the Achievements page on your Dashboard.

The list on the left contains some goals to help guide you towards Affiliate and Partner status. You’ll need to complete all of the achievements in the list in the same 30 day window to become eligible for one of these programs.

The list on the right contains all achievements. The ones at the top you’ve recently completed, followed by some you’re close to reaching and others you completed a while ago.

It Begins!

For those just starting out, these achievements will help you set up and start your first stream.

Path to Affiliate

After you have the basics down, Path to Affiliate will help you track your progress towards eligibility for the Twitch Affiliate program.

The Path to Affiliate includes four achievements:

  • Stream for 8 hours in the last 30 days
  • Stream on 7 unique days in the last 30 days
  • Reach 3 average viewers in the last 30 days
  • Reach and maintain at least 50 followers

To be eligible for the Affiliate program, you must meet the requirements for all the achievements above within the last 30 days. (You’ll see a checkmark next to the achievements that you’ve completed within the required time window.)

For example, if you complete “Reach 3 average viewers” on day 3 and “Stream for 8 hours” on day 35, you won’t be eligible because you didn’t complete the achievements within the same 30 days.

Note: Being eligible for the Affiliate program invites you to apply to the Affiliate Onboarding process by clicking on the Get Started button that will appear. For help with the onboarding process, take a look at our Affiliate Onboarding Guide.

After you complete the onboarding process, the Path to Affiliate panel will show that you have become a Twitch Affiliate. If you are denied or there is an error during your onboarding process, you won’t lose your achievement progress, but you will need to complete the onboarding process successfully to officially become an Affiliate.

Path to Partner

The Path to Partner is designed to help you grow towards being eligible for the Twitch Partner program.

Path to Partner includes three achievements:

  • Stream for 25 hours in the last 30 days
  • Stream for 12 unique days in the last 30 days
  • Reach 75 average viewers in the last 30 days

To be eligible for the Partner program, you must meet the requirements for the achievements above within the last 30 days. (You’ll see a checkmark next to the achievements that you’ve completed within the required time window.)

This means you need to stream for 25 hours, stream 12 unique days, and reach 75 average viewers all in the last 30 days to be eligible for Partnership.

Note: Becoming eligible for Partner does not guarantee Partner status. Once you become eligible, you will see an Apply button that will link to the Partner application form.

Partnership applications are reviewed manually by Twitch staff and it usually takes 7 business days for us to get back to you. Once you are approved, the Path to Partner banner will update to celebrate that you have become a Twitch Partner. If you are denied, you won’t lose your achievement progress, but you should work with our team to understand when you should apply again.

You can apply for Twitch Partner at anytime, but applying through this achievement ensures your application goes through the expedited process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have answered some frequently asked questions regarding achievements.

  • Q. Will I automatically become an Affiliate or Partner after I complete the achievements in the Path to Affiliate and Partner to Partner panels?
    • A. No, completing the achievements will only make you eligible to apply for Affiliate or Partner status. You still need to go through the Affiliate onboarding process or fill out a partner application form.
  • Q. I met the criteria for an achievement but it doesn’t show as complete.
    • A. Depending on the achievement, it may take up to 24 hours for your achievement progress to show up.
  • Q. Is it possible for me to lose progress towards an achievement?
    • A. Yes. For example, for the achievement “Stream for 8 hours in the last 30 days” if you stop streaming for a month you will lose progress. Once you’ve completed an achievement, progress will no longer be tracked.

For the achievements related to Affiliate and Partner status, completing an achievement is separate from completing it within the last 30 days (indicated by a checkmark).

  • Q. For achievements with time or day, what timezone do you use?
    • A. All times and time based achievements (day, month) are in GMT and are not adjusted for Daylight Savings Time. (Remember, your viewers may be in a different timezone than you!)
