Collections are playlists which let you organize and show off your best work. You can create Collections for any set of videos you want to highlight on your channel, whether it is a general introduction reel, a recurring show, each game you stream, or creative projects that span across multiple streams on your channel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Collections can include Uploads, Past Broadcasts, and Highlights. Collections cannot include clips at this time. You can add an unpublished Upload to a Collection, but it will not be visible to viewers until it is published.

Collections are ordered based on how recently they were updated, with the most recently updated Collection at the top of the page.

To create a Collection:
  1. Navigate to the Collections tab of your Video Manager and click the “New Collection” button, enter a Collection name (you can always change this later), then click “Create”. Note: Collection names have a 100-character limit.

  2. Click the “Add videos” button to find videos from your channel and add them to your Collection.

  3. You can scroll to browse your videos or use the search bar to find specific videos from your channel.

  4. When you upload or edit a video, you can also add it directly to a Collection on the “Video Information” screen.

At this time, a channel can have up to 100 Collections, and a Collection can have up to 200 videos.
  • Edit any Collection by navigating to the Collections tab of your video manager and clicking the “Edit” button for the Collection you want to edit.
  • Change the name of your Collection by clicking the pencil icon next to the Collection name. Your change will auto-save once you click outside the edit box.
  • Drag-and-drop to change the order of the videos in your Collection.
  • To remove a video from your Collection, hover over the video and click the “More” button, then select “Remove from Collection”.
  • The thumbnail for your Collection defaults to the thumbnail of the first video. To select another thumbnail, hover over the video and click the “More” button, then select “Set as Collection thumbnail”.

  • Q: Who can create and edit a channel’s Collections?
    • A: Collections can be created, edited, and deleted by Channel Owners and Channel Editors.
  • Q: I just published a new video, but I do not see it on the Playlist editing view. Where did it go?
    • A: It can take up to 5 minutes for a video to show up in the Add Videos search. If you know you would like to add a video to a Collection when it is published, try adding it directly from the Video Information screen as part of your publishing process.
  • Q: Can a Collection be played on a channel like the Playlist beta feature?
    • A: No but we are working to incorporate the functionality of Offline Playlists into Collections.
