This article explains the different features available with Twitch Prime and how to become a member.

Twitch Prime is a premium experience on Twitch that is included with Amazon Prime and Prime Video memberships. Twitch Prime includes games and in-game content, a channel subscription every 30 days at no additional cost to be used on any Partnered or Affiliate channels, ad-free viewing on Twitch, exclusive emotes, and chat badge.

Twitch Prime includes the following benefits:
  • Ad-Free Viewing Experience Across Twitch: avoid viewing ads during the broadcast. Twitch Partners still get credit for ad impressions in connection with views for Prime members.
  • Twitch Channel Subscription: receive a Twitch channel subscription every 30 days to use on Partnered / Affiliate channels. This includes access to the exclusive channel-specific Subscriber perks that come with a regular subscription such as chat privileges, emoticons, badges, and more. Prime Video members receive access to the free Twitch channel subscription once their paid membership to Prime Video begins.
  • Member Access to Game Content: get access to select games and in-game content at no additional cost.
  • Exclusive Emoticons: access emoticons such as KappaHD, ScaredyCat, and others, reserved only for Twitch Prime and Turbo members.
  • Expanded Chat Color Options: set a chat color by toggling a set of 3 sliders (RGB). These options can be changed at any time by going to your Prime Settings.
  • Member-Only Prime Chat Badge: reign supreme with a unique chat badge which can also be toggled on and off via Settings. Prime members are easily identified whenever they speak in any channel across Twitch, by this icon:
Twitch Prime is included with Amazon Prime in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain and the UK. Twitch Prime is included with Prime Video in over 200 other countries and territories.

If you already have Twitch Turbo, consider leveling up to Twitch Prime. Prime members get all of the benefits of Twitch Turbo plus more.

To get Twitch Prime, go to twitchprime.com. Just a warning, there lots of steps (sorry), but it’s totally worth it!
 
First, select from the list below the option that applies to you: I am a current Twitch Turbo User - How to get Twitch Prime:
  1. In order to avoid paying for the same services twice, it is recommended that you first unsubscribe from Twitch Turbo. Start by navigating to the Turbo tab under Settings:

     

  2. Click the Don’t Renew option in the center of the page, next to the billing schedule.
  3. on the next page that you wish to cancel by clicking the Don’t Renew button.
  4. Complete the steps found below.
I am a current Amazon Prime member - How to get Twitch Prime:

If you are already an Amazon Prime member, you obtain Twitch Prime at no additional cost by connecting your Amazon account to your Twitch account.
  1. Go to twitchprime.com
  2. Click to connect your Amazon account to your Twitch account to access your benefits:
Once your Amazon account is connected, you will automatically have Twitch Prime and access to all Twitch Prime benefits!



I live in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain or the UK, and I am neither a Turbo user nor Amazon Prime member - How to get Twitch Prime:
  1. Go to twitchprime.com, and ensure your correct country of residence is displayed in the top right corner of the sign-up page.
  2. Sign in or create an Amazon account:
  3. Click to connect your Amazon account to your Twitch account to access your benefits:

You are now a Prime member and your Twitch and Amazon accounts are linked! You can adjust your Prime settings on your Settings page at any time by navigating to the Prime tab of your Twitch settings page.

I am a current Prime Video member and I do NOT live in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain or the UK - How to get Twitch Prime:

If you are already a Prime Video member who DOES NOT live in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain and the UK, you obtain Twitch Prime at no additional cost by connecting your Prime Video account to your Twitch account.

  1. Go to twitchprime.com and click on "Start Your Free Trial" to connect your Prime Video and Twitch accounts.

     

  2. Click to connect your Prime Video account to your Twitch account to access your benefits.
I do NOT live in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain or the UK. I am neither an Amazon Prime member nor Amazon Prime Video member - How to get Twitch Prime:
  1. Go to twitchprime.com, and ensure your correct country of residence is set to "Prime Video worldwide plan" in the top right corner of the sign-up page:
  2. Sign in or create an Amazon Prime Video account:
     
  3. Enter in your billing address and payment details, and start your Prime Video membership:
     
  4. Log in to your Amazon account:
     
  5. Log in to or Sign Up for your Twitch account:
     
  6. Click to connect your Amazon account to your Twitch account to access your benefits:
     
  7. You are now an Amazon Prime Video member and your Twitch and Amazon Prime Video accounts are linked! You can adjust your Prime Video settings on your Settings page at any time by navigating to the Prime Video tab of your Twitch settings page.

  • Q: Where is Twitch Prime available?
    • A: Twitch Prime is now available globally, with the exception of Mexico, India, Japan, China and embargoed territories.
       
  • Q: Where is Amazon Prime available?
    • A: Amazon Prime is available in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Belgium. Twitch Prime is not available for Prime Video only plans in Amazon Prime countries.
       
  • Q: Where is Prime Video available?
    • A: Prime Video is available globally except for embargoed countries. However, in Amazon Prime countries, a full Amazon Prime membership is required.
       
  • Q: When will Twitch Prime be available in India/Mexico/Japan/China?
    • A: We’re working as fast as we can to bring Twitch Prime to as many users as possible – stay tuned, and thank you for your patience!
       
  • Q: I have Prime Video. Do I get Twitch Prime?
    • A: Yes, if you live outside the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain or the UK. If you live in those countries, you must sign up for Amazon Prime to get Twitch Prime.
       
  • Q: I have Prime through Amazon Household. Do I get Twitch Prime?
    • A: No. Twitch Prime is not available for Invitees and members who get their benefits via Amazon Household.
       
  • Q: I am a member of Prime Student. Can I sign up for Twitch Prime?
    • A: Yes, Prime Student members are eligible for Twitch Prime. However, note that you will only get one channel subscription in total during your no-cost trial.
       
  • Q: Do I get a free Twitch channel subscription during my Free Trial?
    • A: If you get Twitch Prime through an Amazon Prime membership, then you get one free Twitch channel subscription during your Free Trial (regardless of how long your Free Trial is). Once you spend it, it will not renew. Once you become a paid member, you will start getting a new Twitch channel subscription at no additional cost 30 days after you spend the last one.

      If you get Twitch Prime through a Prime Video membership, then you do not get a free Twitch channel subscription during your Free Trial. Your free Twitch channel subscription will become available once you become a paid member of Prime Video 7 days after your free trial.
       
  • Q: Can I link multiple Twitch accounts to my Amazon Prime account?
    • A: Yes, customers can link up to four Twitch accounts to an Amazon account. Please note, once one linked Twitch viewer spends a subscription, all of them need to wait for it to renew. Similarly, only one customer can claim a given piece of game content or multi-month entitlement.
       
  • Q: If I have Twitch Turbo, should I cancel Turbo?
    • A: If you already subscribe to Turbo, you may want to consider canceling Turbo. All the benefits of Turbo are included in Twitch Prime, except that instead of a Turbo banner on your subscriptions page you will see a Twitch Prime banner. You can cancel your Turbo subscription here, and you can go to twitchprime.com to connect your Amazon and Twitch accounts and get started with Twitch Prime.
       
  • Q: I became a member of Twitch Prime and did not cancel my Twitch Turbo so I have been paying for both. Can I be refunded for Turbo?
    • A: For a limited time, we will offer a refund on Turbo purchases if you already have subscribed to Turbo and purchased Twitch Prime as well. This includes if you bought an extended Turbo subscription. To request a Turbo refund, open a support ticket.
       
  • Q: Can I still sign up for Twitch Turbo without signing up for Prime?
    • A: If you are in a country where Twitch Prime is available, you can no longer sign up for Twitch Turbo. If you are outside of those countries, you can sign up for Twitch Turbo.
       
  • Q: How do I learn more about Prime Video memberships?
    • A: Go to www.primevideo.com to learn about Prime Video content, memberships, payment methods, and more.
       
  • Q: How do I cancel my Amazon Prime membership, or manage my membership settings?
    • A: You may cancel your membership at any time by going to Amazon and clicking on Your Account, scrolling down to Settings, and clicking on Manage Prime Membership.
       
  • Q: How do I cancel my Prime Video Membership?
    • A: Learn more about how to end your Prime Video Membership here. Please be aware that the cancellation process is written in English only.
       
  • Q: How do I manage my Prime Video account?
    • A: Learn more about how to manage your Prime Video settings here. At this time, the Prime Video website and Prime Video app user interface are only available in English.

  • Q: How do I manage my Twitch Prime account?
    • A: Once you have successfully connected your Prime Video and Twitch accounts, you can visit your Twitch Prime settings here to manage your account.

  • Q: I see the “Oh no!” error message when I sign up for Twitch Prime!
    • A: This happens for a variety of reasons, but the most common is that you have signed up for Twitch Prime in a way not supported in your country. Do not use VPN and follow these steps;
      • Amazon Prime in a Prime Video country
        • Visit Amazon in the marketplace you signed up and visit Prime Central. and end membership to get a refund (if you are eligible), or turn off auto-renew on your Amazon Prime membership so you do not get charged for Prime (click here for US). (If you created a Prime free trial, email Amazon customer service to cancel the free trial.)
        • Visit twitchprime.com and make sure “Other parts of the world” shows in the country selector. If it does not, click the “Change Country” link and select “Other parts of the world.”
        • Check the Purple Buy Box mentions Prime Video, and proceed to sign up or link accounts by clicking “connect your Twitch account” or “enable Twitch Prime”.

      • Prime Video in an Amazon Prime country
        • Cancel your Prime Video by clicking “end membership” here.
        • Visit twitchprime.com and make sure your Country is selected by its flag. If you don’t see your country’s flag, Twitch Prime might not yet be available there (so review the information above in this FAQ).
        • Check the Purple Buy Box mentions Amazon Prime, and proceed to sign up or link accounts by clicking “connect your Twitch account” or “enable Twitch Prime”.
