Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What do Broadcast Language settings do?
    • A: The Broadcast Language settings make it easier for your viewers to find you if you speak a non-English language, and allows for better searching and sorting on the site in the future. Look forward to many more exciting features built around the data being collected based on this feature!
  • Q: How do I tag myself as a Broadcaster?
    • A: As a broadcaster, simply go to your Dashboard and look for Broadcast Language. Select your language from this drop-down list. If you do not see your language, please select Other. That's it!

You can also tag yourself with a language by updating your information on your channel page. Simply click Edit at the top of the page near your title, and select your broadcast language.
  • Q: How do I view streams in my language?
    • A: When you visit Twitch and are viewing the site in a non-English language, you will be shown streams that match your browser's set language. To change your Twitch language view, go to the Twitch home page, scroll to the bottom, and click Language to select your preferred language.

You can always go back to viewing the site as you did before by clicking the arrow above the streams.
  • Q: What if my language is missing?
    • A:  If your language is missing from our Language list, please select Other on your dashboard for the Broadcast Language option. This will let Twitch know that you are interested in streaming in another language.
