Twitch is taking another step to further strengthen the community and benefit broadcasters and viewers alike by allowing you to buy games and in-game content directly on Twitch. Partners and Affiliates can earn a share of the revenue from purchases that originate from their channel page, and viewers who buy can earn rewards in the form of Twitch Crates that contain surprises like emotes, chat badges, or Bits.

Some channels broadcasting game content have a button below the video screen that allows you to purchase the game or in-game items being played.
  1. Click the “Buy Now” button to the left below the video screen and you will be redirected to a purchase screen.
  2. Purchases are made using an Amazon account. You may need to link your Twitch account to your Amazon Account to complete payment if you have not already done so. If you do not have an Amazon account, you can create one.
  3. Ensure your payment method is correct and click “Pay Now”.
  4. To download your game, you will either use the Twitch App, or you will link your Twitch account to a service such as Uplay. Follow the steps provided on the payment completion page to get your game.
  5. If you made a purchase of $4.99 or more, you will also have received a TwitchCrate! You can choose to open it on the payment completion page or save for later to open from your inventory. Your inventory can be viewed by clicking on the dropdown menu in the top right corner and then clicking on Inventory, which is near the bottom of the menu.

Some games sold on Twitch will be downloaded and launched via the Twitch App. You can find out how to launch your game via the Twitch App help article here.
  • Q: How do I see all of my purchased games?
    • A: There are two ways for you to see all of the games that you have purchased: view them by opening the Twitch Launcher, they will all be listed on the landing page; OR you can also go here to see your digital order history, including games purchased on Twitch, however, free games do not appear in your digital order history.
  • Q: How is my purchase revenue shared with Partners and Affiliate?
    • A: If you see text on a broadcaster’s channel page that says, “Purchase revenue will be shared with [broadcaster’s Twitch name]", it means the broadcaster has opted in to receive a share of the revenue from sales of games or in-game items originating from his or her channel page.

If you purchase a game or in-game item on Twitch by clicking a “Buy” button on that broadcaster’s page, the broadcaster will receive 5% of the purchase price less items such as, taxes or discounts. Additionally, if you visit the game details page via the “Game Details” link displayed on the broadcaster’s channel page and then you make a purchase from the game details page for the game you are watching, the broadcaster will receive the 5% of the purchase price, as long as you do not navigate to any other page before completing the purchase.
  • Q: What regions is game purchase available in? ?
    • A: Purchase is available worldwide and payments are made using an Amazon account. At launch, all pricing is in US dollars. We will add support for more currencies in the coming months.

  • Q: Which games are available for sale on Twitch?
    • A: To see a complete list of available games, click here.

  • Q: If I am not a Partner or Affiliate, can viewers buy games from my channel page?
    • A: An offer to buy a game or in game content will appear on all broadcaster channel pages when a game is being played that is offered for sale by Twitch. Only Partners and Affiliates will be eligible to earn revenue through this program.
