The Twitch Web App supports two main browsers: Google Chrome and Firefox.

If you experience issues - try turning off any Mods or Addons you have installed with your browser, and please make sure you are running with an updated browser.

Index (click to jump):

Chrome

Once you have logged into the Twitch Web App and start a call, you should receive a notification.

On this notification you will want to select Allow (this setting is only for the Curse web app) to allow the Twitch Web App to use your microphone.

You will now have a camera icon to the right of your address bar.

When your mic is being used you will also get a red dot on the tab.

Oops - I Didn't Allow the Microphone!

Something happened, and you accidentally didn't allow the browser to use your microphone. Don't worry it can be fixed!

Go over to the camera icon to the right of your address bar with the red "X" on it.

Click on it and this will pull up your options. Toggle your option from Continue blocking microphone access to Always allow curse to access your microphone. Then click Done.

Firefox

Once you have logged into the Twitch Web App and start a call, you should receive a notification.

With this notification you will want to select your Microphone device and then Always Share (this setting is only for the Twitch Web App).

You will continue to see the microphone icon in your toolbar, and when in use it will change colors.

You may also get a tab on your desktop as well.

Oops - I Didn't Allow the Microphone!

For whatever reason if you set it to not allow the microphone - all is not lost!

Click on the Lock icon left of your address bar. Change Block to Allow to correct this.

Next head into Permissions ofr the browser, and scroll till you find Microphone. Make sure Use Default is unchecked and check Allow.

HELPFUL HINT

If you want the Twitch Web App to use a microphone other than the one you have selected with the notification or default input device you can change that in your Audio Settings.
