To play some games you will need to install them on your computer. You can only install the game via the Twitch Launcher (Beta). To get the Twitch Launcher, you can download and install via this direct link, or follow the instructions below.
A: The Twitch Launcher is compatible with Windows 7 or later (64-bit only), network connection, and administrative privileges on your computer. Please ensure that all the required patches are installed by running Windows Update through the Start Menu.
If you still experience difficulties after Windows Update has completed with a reboot, try directly installing KB2999226 directly from here. Then rerun the Twitch Launcher Installer. If you are still experiencing difficulties after these actions, please contact Twitch Customer Support.
A: We are making Streamline available on Twitch to shine a spotlight on a game that celebrates the Twitch community. The game is free to anyone who signs up for a free trial of Twitch Prime, but for those in countries where Prime is not available, or for those who do not want to subscribe to Twitch Prime, we are making it available for sale. We are offering partnered streamers a bounty of 30% of the purchase price when the game is purchased via the link from their channel page. So your purchase will help support the partnered streamer who you last saw playing Streamline if he or she is eligible and opts in to this program.
A: To resolve this, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Twitch Launcher. To uninstall the Twitch Launcher:
Open "Programs and Features" by clicking the "Start" button, clicking "Control Panel," clicking "Programs," and then clicking "Programs and Features."
Select “Twitch Launcher (Beta)” and then click "Uninstall."
Then re-download the Twitch Launcher by going to https://www.twitch.tv/, browse or search for a game you own, click the Game Details page, and then click “Download the Launcher” to initiate the download.
A: You can access your previously purchased games and in-game purchases by installing the Twitch Launcher and logging in with the same Twitch account you originally purchased the games with. Please reach out to the developer if you have issues recovering your in-game purchases.
A: Game progress may be saved locally or in the cloud. This varies by game and is determined by the developer. You may be able to recover your game progress by installing the Twitch Launcher and logging in with the Twitch account that was used to purchase the game originally. Please reach out to the developer if you have issues recovering your game progress.
A: Some games require an internet connection to play, while others do not. This varies by game and is determined by the developer. We recommend checking the Game Details page on Twitch for this information, or reaching out to the developer if you have further questions.
