CS:GO's Game Filter

Twitch currently has a game filter for the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that lets users filter streams based on specific maps and ranks!

Notice an error or have feedback for this article? Let us know!
While browsing the CS:GO directory on Twitch, you can find a game filter that lets users define what maps they want to watch or sort streamers by their skill level in-game! Below is a screenshot of what you will see:

Click here for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive directory! Once there you can filter streamers that have connected their Steam accounts to their Twitch accounts. To filter by skill simply click the "sort by" drop down and either choose "viewers" or "skill". Users that have connected their Steam accounts will now be displayed at the top when you choose to display by skill, and are ordered by their in-game rank.

Alternatively, you can filter by "map". By selecting the map you wish to see at the top, you will only see streamers who have their Steam accounts connected and are playing that specific map.

How do I set this up?

If you are a CS:GO player and would like to implement this feature, you must first connect your Steam account to your Twitch account. To get started head to the connections settings page. Once there you will see a Steam block with the option to connect your account.
Once you click connect a pop-up will appear and direct you to the Steam website and will ask if you would like to sign into Twitch through Steam; click "Yes".

If you can see a green tick where the connect button was, that means you are connected! Once you start streaming in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive directory, users will be able to filter you based on rank and the map you are currently playing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Why is my skill badge not showing even though I have connected my Steam account?
    • A: The rank is only displayed and available when playing on official Valve servers (i.e. Competitive matches). If you are playing casual or community servers you rank will not be displayed because they do not store that kind of information.
  • Q: I am playing Competitive but my skill badge still is not showing and nobody can filter me by map! What should I do?
    • A: Go into your Counter-Strike: Global Offensive "Game Settings" and scroll down to the bottom until you see "TWITCH.TV CONNECTION". Set "CS:GO Profile Sharing" to "Always Shared".
