If you're still experiencing this issue, try this:
1. Remove the Twitch settings from your broadcast software. 2. Log out of Twitch and clear cache and cookies from your browser. 3. Login on the Twitch.tv home page. 4. Go to twitch.tv/broadcast and click Show Key. 5. If a key is presented, add Twitch back to your broadcast software and add the key.
If you cannot retrieve your stream key, you likely have a Justin.tv account. You can check by going to: twitch.tv/<yourusername> (where <yourusername> is your username). If you are redirected to justin.tv/<yourusername>, then your account is a JTV account.
I go to the braod cast place and it says i can find my stream key on my dashboard. I went to my dashboard under stream key and clicked it but it wont give me anything or do anything.... i have everything else in my broadcasting software set except the key so i need badly( btw im using open broadcaster software OBS)
Jason, when I click show key it does nothing. I have tried opening in a new window and also tried using other internet browsers but it still does nothing when I click for it to display. P.S. Whats up with these ReCAPTHCA's?
We no longer move accounts from Justin.tv to Twitch as of October 31, 2013. This option to move to Twitch was removed from JTV in December 2012. We believe this to be enough time for users to have requested a switch.
CAVEAT: If you have an active subscription to a Twitch channel or Turbo, we can move you over.
You can use your JTV account to chat on Twitch; however, you cannot broadcast or follow channels.
As JTV and Twitch share the same user database, you will need to create a new account on Twitch to use our site.
FYI: Deleting your account on JTV will not allow you to recreate the account on Twitch. The account will remain in deleted state. We do not clear deleted accounts.
