Whenever I try to connect to ANY chat, it does not let me connect. I enable debugging and get this error:
DEBUG: Connecting to beyondthesummit
DEBUG: Connecting to 184.108.40.206:80
DEBUG: Connection lost (220.127.116.11:80): [SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2048"]
DEBUG: Reconnecting...(next is 18.104.22.168:80)
Sorry, we were unable to connect to chat. Reconnecting in 4 seconds.
Does this have something to do with my firewall? Do I need to disable something in my anti-virus? Let me know.
I need a screenshot to share with engineers on this issue. If you can give one to me, that’d be great. Thanks!
Can you get a larger screenshot showing it persisting? To verify, this happens after you clear cache and try?
After some more feedback on a few more threads, we were able to determine that this is indeed a bug, and will be fixed. I don’t have a timeline for this, but I am pushing for it as much as I can! Thanks for you guys patience and hopefully we’ll get this taken care of as soon as we can.
BTTV users were locked out yesterday to a programming error that the developer made causing everyone to spam /mods in chat. You should be fine now as the lockout is over, and the developer claim that this error was fixed.
